12/14/03 -- The second game for Ohio Speedskating took place this weekend with all teams present and one of the nicest roller sports venues in the state. Local Mansfield television crews were out to the event during the morning.

A severe snow storm hit the Ohio valley, making the not-so-bad drive a 3-5 hour thrash on the not-so-salted snow-covered interstates.

Although huge, the floor left something to be desired: traction! There weren't too many spills although it looked like the skaters were either taking the track really well or really poorly.

The numbers were about average, however the Miami RedHawks were at reduced strength due to final exams. The Olympic Racing Team kept warm in the arena with their nifty HYPER Hockey Jersey's while Randy Bowman set up shop for Alan Marcosson's PYROApparel. Michael Bowser also was trying to sell old equipment and NinJA Bearings, with MU hanging many banners around the arena. Marysville with their many little and up and coming skaters buzzed around the floor swiftly and with no anguish.

Overall, the tour seems to becoming more and more professional thanks to the hard work of the administrators, officials, and new technologies being implemented to make a more exciting professional athletic event. Kudos to all and congratulations.
