02/27/04 -- Three days of skating in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania highlighted the week for Ohio's NEO, Newark, and Marysville team members February 27-29.

Roughly 500 skaters from all over the U.S. competed in the 2004 Verducci Challenge at the Cornwells Skate Center.

Hyper, Mogema/Labeda, Powerslide, Verducci, Pinnacle, and Canariam set up stands promoting their products. Their sponsored men and women pro skaters were in abundance, including Hyper's Joey Mantia.

Michael Cheek won Pro Men, and Mandi Howard won Pro Ladies.

The largest division was Standard Freshman Ladies, with four heats. Sheena Freeman of Marysville placed third overall. Standard Senior Men was also a large group of three heats, and Newark's Keith Ellsworth placed third overall.
